About the AntiquesPlus Site

This site has been established as the place for information on dealers and their stock items, in Antiques and Collectables throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Since late 2004, the site has been sponsored by Carter's Publications who have published Carter's Price Guide to Antiques in Australasia, which has been published annually for the last twenty-four years.

The site was first established in 1993, and the direction of the site has basically remained the same since then, although the site has had several major makeovers during that that time, to keep abreast of changes in presentation and Internet technology.

In setting up the site, we have had the co-operation of the antiques dealer organisations in Australia and New Zealand, and the service contains information about, or links to, each of these organisations.
On this site we supply information on:

antique and collectable dealers, geographically by region state or postcode; by item type grouping for dealers displaying stock items they are offering for sale; and by dealer.
each dealer can set up a home page with a description of their business and an image,
dealers can add, edit and delete an unlimited number of stock items (charge applies).
we list forthcoming antiques and collectables fairs, free of charge.
we include details of antiques dealers associations, including their aims, objectives, code of practice, list of members, as applicable. and other information of public interest, or a link to the association's own web site.
ancillary services to the antiques and collectables trades, such as: picture framers, furniture restorers, educational courses, customs clearance etc.
we include links to other internet sites, of interest to the antiques and art community.
